The Art Secure Storage Facility at 231 South Road, Mile End, represents the apex of cultural preservation infrastructure in the Southern Hemisphere—a fortress of climate control and surveillance that was meant to safeguard Teppo Jaskelain's "Mirage" but instead became a destination that the stolen sculpture would never reach. The location assumed unexpected significance on 25 July 2018, when Beatrix Cramer and her sister Gladys visited for supplies—a routine errand that culminated in surveillance by an unidentified observer and a cryptic directive from Leigh Trogaris that would alter their evening's trajectory.

Moira MacKenzie's Emporium of Fashion

Edinburgh's most prestigious fashion establishment occupied 17 George Street from 1740 until well into the nineteenth century. Founded when Moira MacKenzie inherited her mentor's dressmaking workshop and renamed it, the Emporium became synonymous with elegance, discretion, and the seamless blending of Highland textile traditions with Continental sophistication. Salter's Garage is a modest workshop located behind Benny Salter's home in Glenorchy, Tasmania, established around 2010 following his father's death. Specialising in motorbike repair, the garage embodies Glenorchy's working-class character whilst providing Benny the sanctuary he requires from a world whose complications he prefers to avoid.

The Outback Crossroads Roadhouse stands as Yunta's vital lifeline, a beacon of fuel, food, and human connection in the vast South Australian wilderness. This weathered establishment embodies the town's role as sanctuary for travellers navigating the harsh stretch between Adelaide and Broken Hill. Under Marnie Tillett's stewardship since 2007, its forecourt has witnessed both mundane transactions and extraordinary moments—including Beatrix Cramer's animal rescue and covert Guardian operations.

The Whispering Menagerie, New Norfolk

The Whispering Menagerie, established in New Norfolk in 1998, presents as a modest pet shop selling budgerigars and hamsters whilst concealing far more extraordinary operations. Owner Johnny Ryman transformed this weatherboard shopfront into a nexus between worlds—where Tasmania's colonial-era smuggling routes facilitate transfers of exotic species to Clivilius's Bixbus Wildlife Sanctuary. Timeless Treasures Antique Emporium was an eccentric antique shop housed in a converted 19th-century sandstone church at 42 Pioneer Lane, New Norfolk, Tasmania, operating from 2006 to 2015. Co-founded by Beatrix Cramer and Brody Taylor, the shop became renowned for its theatrical displays, rare Tasmanian artefacts, and whispered lore. Following Brody's murder in 2014 and subsequent legal disputes, the Emporium closed in October 2015, leaving behind a legacy of mystery and unaccounted-for treasures.
